Code.org will train a staff member from your district to be a Code.org District Trainer on July 18-19, 2023 ( virtual workshop) to deliver Code.org K-5 Computer Science Workshops to elementary teachers in your district.
Your District Trainer will receive customized mentorship and support from an experienced Code.org CS Fundamentals Facilitator in the region throughout the school year.
Your District Trainer will be equipped with strategies and resources to customize the workshops to district and individual participants’ needs.
The regional team will collaborate with and support your district as you work to meet the following target goals:
Each District Trainer in the pilot program will integrate CS into their district’s PL program
Each distrcit will have at least 1 workshop with at least 5 teachers before Dec. 1, 2023
Districts in the pilot will create a plan to make CS part of their ongoing district PL program.
Regional Partners will provide ongoing support to create a robust and sustainable CS program in your district.

To expand CS learning, growth and opportimites to access Computer science, we suggest that each participating district to develop a high-level CS vision for K-5 and an implementation plan. Your Regional cocde.org l Mangager from ASDN, Cheryl Bobo, can shelp you. expand expand on and add details to this plan over time, but initially, each district should have the following documented in their plan prior to their district trainer’s onboarding.
